When responding to these behaviors, we adhere to the following guidelines:

We **do not** use:

Threats or bribes

Physical punishment, even if requested by the parent

Deprivation of food or other basic needs

Humiliation or isolation

Therapeutic holds

Instead, we take the following steps:

Follow proactive measures outlined in the crisis plan (if applicable)

Treat your child with respect

Establish clear rules and provide choices

Be consistent in enforcing rules

Use positive language to encourage desired behavior

Redirect your child to new activities

Offer 1-on-1 redirection or de-escalation techniques when possible within the staffing ratio.

Our child-to-provider ratio is 1-to-4, ensuring each child receives personalized attention and care in a safe and supportive environment.
